Tue, 31 Jan 2012 19:30:25 -0800 The One One http://sidgabriel.com/the-one-one http://sidgabriel.com/the-one-one It's only 2012 once. My band 3L3V3N, which completed its short life on
the stage in December 2011 has transformed as it was written when we
began making art as "11", it has transformed into "The One One" which
will begin it's appearances in the public with SYMBIOSIS gathering at
PYRAMID LAKE on MAY 17th to observe the solar eclipse.

http://pyramideclipse.com/eclipse/

The entity "The One One" is mode successive. Which means it comes from
a future where the mode of distribution does not influence the entity.
Records, books, mp3 files are all modes, which in the dark ages
defined the role of their creators as musicians or authors or other
trade references. Chris and I see this as no longer the way.
Choosing not to define ourselves as musicians just because we produce
audio files, or call ourselves developers because we produce apps.

We acknowledge
that we are creators of art, which ultimately must be credited to the
ultimate and not to us at all. So in expressing our art as mode
successive, with our lives being the mediums of the art, we assume the
ancient role of prophet, but in a much more common form than those in
recorded history before us. We are a channel of the infinite.
Expressing what the infinite has us expressing. What comes through is
a profound awareness of the guidance within the art. The One One is
not a band, or an artist or a style of art or a lifestyle. It is all
of those things.

"The One One" is an ancient culture of life encoded in every living
being that asserts its self through all art.

Sat, 21 Jan 2012 02:38:00 -0800 Tahrir Tilt Shift http://sidgabriel.com/tahrir-tilt-shift http://sidgabriel.com/tahrir-tilt-shift

Over one billion dollars in US foreign aid is earmarked for Egypt
every year in the President's Discretionary Budget. ( See:
www.deathandtaxesposter.com ) As tax paying US Citizens, we paid for
the armor, the sticks and overtime hours of the "Egyptian Zucotti
Redux Extreme" spectacle that ended 2011. These are frames taken from
videos that reached the outside world via smart phones. The frames are
stylized using a process known as tilt-shifting. The depth of field
and aerial diffusion of light is simulated to mimic photographs taken
of scale-models of the original subjects.

Reaching for a "toy-soldier" metaphor, the effect is meant to communicate the eerily detached sense of responsibility some feel
regarding the human cost our foreign aid may have carried. While aid
money outfitted the military/police force with shields and clubs and
armor, it also sped the proliferation of internet access through the
country and brought the social media within reach of the citizens of
Egypt. We are intertwined such that a direct causal relationship to
the violence we witnessed cannot be isolated, nor can a direct
relationship to the protests be easily drawn, but the feeling that we
are responsible in part for this lost revolution, can be felt in some
of us. I don't think anyone claims we are not related somehow to the
turn of events.

Those with the awareness and the consciousness required to see the
tragedy that the rampant, unchecked fear of others has wrought upon
the earth, over and over again, witness now that same fear of others,
driving its roots into a nation, before elections, before democracy,
the people's will to self-brutalize. To do whatever is necessary to
maintain power over others, pursuing the myth of security that lives
with the will for violence.

Thu, 19 Jan 2012 20:16:25 -0800 An Historic Press Release http://sidgabriel.com/an-historic-press-release http://sidgabriel.com/an-historic-press-release

No doubt emboldened by the recent recognition of Kopism by The Sweedish Government and the outright wrongness of the US government's pursuit of the power to, at will, delete whole parts of the Internet, The Stewards of The Pirate Bay have made a press release where they courageously stand up, unashamedly declaring their principles. To me, this release sounds a turn of the tide in the near 16 year long battle to establish an indelible repository of the creations of humankind that operates independent of royalty, government, religion or regime.

The tech industry needs to wake up and realize that the pirate bay and kopism are the disowned and missing pieces of our collective's solution to the Big Data Problem. A distributed, indelible meshwork of seeds, trackers and parts of files scattered among billions of computers all around the world. A storage network using time and interest to achieve a infinite mirroring refraction of data, capable of predicting and exceeding our present needs, nearly indefinitely. We could have it if we could just shake ourselves free of the fantasy that some company will invent a for-profit cloud suitable to hold all the data humankind must it not forget.

Dammit 2012 is awesome.

INTERNETS, 18th of January 2012. PRESS RELEASE, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

Over a century ago Thomas Edison got the patent for a device which would ā€œdo for the eye what the phonograph does for the earā€. He called it the Kinetoscope. He was not only amongst the first to record video, he was also the first person to own the copyright to a motion picture.

Because of Edisons patents for the motion pictures it was close to financially impossible to create motion pictures in the North american east coast. The movie studios therefor relocated to California, and founded what we today call Hollywood. The reason was mostly because there was no patent.

There was also no copyright to speak of, so the studios could copy old stories and make movies out of them - like Fantasia, one of Disneys biggest hits ever.

So, the whole basis of this industry, that today is screaming about losing control over immaterial rights, is that they circumvented immaterial rights. They copied (or put in their terminology: ā€œstoleā€) other peoples creative works, without paying for it. They did it in order to make a huge profit. Today, they’re all successful and most of the studios are on the Fortune 500 list of the richest companies in the world. Congratulations - it’s all based on being able to re-use other peoples creative works. And today they hold the rights to what other people create. If you want to get something released, you have to abide to their rules. The ones they created after circumventing other peoples rules.

<blockquote>

The reason they are always complainting about ā€œpiratesā€ today is simple. We’ve done what they did. We circumvented the rules they created and created our own. We crushed their monopoly by giving people something more efficient. We allow people to have direct communication between each other, circumventing the profitable middle man, that in some cases take over 107% of the profits (yes, you pay to work for them).

It’s all based on the fact that we’re competition.

We’ve proven that their existance in their current form is no longer needed. We’re just better than they are.

</blockquote>

And the funny part is that our rules are very similar to the founding ideas of the USA. We fight for freedom of speech. We see all people as equal. We believe that the public, not the elite, should rule the nation. We believe that laws should be created to serve the public, not the rich corporations.

The Pirate Bay is truly an international community. The team is spread all over the globe - but we’ve stayed out of the USA. We have Swedish roots and a swedish friend said this:

The word SOPA means ā€œtrashā€ in Swedish. The word PIPA means ā€œa pipeā€ in Swedish. This is of course not a coincidence. They want to make the internet inte a one way pipe, with them at the top, shoving trash through the pipe down to therest of us obedient consumers.

The public opinion on this matter is clear. Ask anyone on the street and you’ll learn that no one wants to be fed with trash. Why the US government want the American people to be fed with trash is beyond our imagination but we hope that you will stop them, before we all drown.

SOPA can’t do anything to stop TPB. Worst case we’ll change top level domain from our current .org to one of the hundreds of other names that we already also use. In countries where TPB is blocked, China and Saudi Arabia springs to mind, they block hundreds of our domain names. And did it work? Not really.

To fix the ā€œproblem of piracyā€ one should go to the source of the problem. The entertainment industry say they’re creating ā€œcultureā€ but what they really do is stuff like selling overpriced plushy dolls and making 11 year old girls become anorexic. Either from working in the factories that creates the dolls for basically no salary or by watching movies and tv shows that make them think that they’re fat.

In the great Sid Meiers computer game Civilization you can build Wonders of the world. One of the most powerful ones is Hollywood. With that you control all culture and media in the world. Rupert Murdoch was happy with MySpace and had no problems with their own piracy until it failed. Now he’s complainting that Google is the biggest source of piracy in the world - because he’s jealous. He wants to retain his mind control over people and clearly you’d get a more honest view of things on Wikipedia and Google than on Fox News.

Some facts (years, dates) are probably wrong in this press release. The reason is that we can’t access this information when Wikipedia is blacked out. Because of pressure from our failing competitors. We’re sorry for that.

Ahadywvcaaavobh
This is a sketch of everything. It has been proposed by many scientists that the shape of the planet is not a sphere or spheroid. That it is actually toroidal, as the magnetic field that the world generates is a toroid shape. All processes or cycles on the planet exist in a flow that follows a toroid shape. Here is a quick sketch of just the planet:
Terre

Of course this is just the magnetic field. Science currently calls this the magnetosphere. Scientists skipped the work of introducing active toroidal models to a scientific community dominated by static spherical models, and simply called the earth's toroid shaped magnetic field a "magneto" "sphere" and killed all statement accuracy on the subject for the era.

A quick sketch of the Earth and the field:

Photo_5

There were a couple pictures that came from Voyager last month that showed tiny little magnetic fields.

Screen_shot_2011-12-22_at_8

Nasa called them "magnetic bubbles" furthering the misconception of magnetic fields as spheres and implying they are subject to surface tension. That charachterization made me wonder how on Earth NASA could have invented an ion drive if they dont even know how to accurately represent a magnetic field.

I decided that science pr was probably to blame and moved on to the data:

After re-visioning the heliosheath in my mind I realized that the Sun was a vector field of toroid waveform oscillation. The artifacts at the edge of the heliosheath are not from our sun, but rather, they are the interstellar ether, collected at the bow shock, pushed into toroidal form, by a giant toroidal waveform oscillation that they are riding around the galaxy. A glimpse of the field between energy and what we perceive of as matter.

I began to consider it without time as a constant and visualized everything that ever existed and ever would exist existing simutlaneously. As a vector field of toroidal field oscillations, no moment would ever be the same as any other moment as they are all in what we perceive as motion. Oscillating at different frequencies, without the concept of a moving event horizon that we call "time" they are simply occupying their particular location in spacetime.

From that perspective I examined the concept of "big bang" and dropped it entirely as it was not possible for nothing to be. <-that's proper english, just an uncommon statement. It is not possible for any waveform oscillation to have no relative earlier waveform. Just as one block stacks up on another and no block is at the bottom sitting on nothing, so the existence of the universe in spacetime follows the same pattern. With every oscillation of the field a descendant of the oscillation of the field. I decided to visualize the sun again and when I saw it, it was beautiful, all of human history, our tiny little moment, on this beautiful mass of water and earth stretching out around the sun. It looked so whole. Like a single one drop of water on the sun, a swirling shape in eventless spacetime.

The piece titled "The History of All Earth Ever, As A Drop of Water on The Sun" I admit is a pale representation of what I see in my imagination when I conceptualize the Earth's relationship with the Sun, but it is as accurate as we know today. In time I will hopefully be able to prove that it is the more beautiful and accurate perspective for depicting our home in the universe, more capable of describing the peace of it and communicating an understanding of it than the portrayals of our home as one of a bunch of mysteriously connected sphere bubles floating in the blackness of nothing after a mysterious bang.

Thu, 22 Dec 2011 19:26:00 -0800 On "The Ascent of Money", A BBC Series on The History of Finance http://sidgabriel.com/on-the-ascent-of-money-a-bbc-series-on-the-hi http://sidgabriel.com/on-the-ascent-of-money-a-bbc-series-on-the-hi

I watched The Ascent of Money BBC series last night. It was well worth the 4 hours of my life that it took to take it all in.

The information prompted me to journey on an endless flow of related internet searches, and research. Last night I also had vivid dreams, a sign of reorganization in the associative networks of the brain. I'm not surprised because I was actually enthralled. To communicate the historical perspective of his book "The Ascent of Money" Niall Ferguson's miniseries takes up the mantle of James Burke's "BBC Connections" series. I was a huge fan of James Burke's uncanny ability to relate modern day entities, to seemingly unrelated events in history by illuminating the connections implied by history. "The Ascent of Money" delivers the history of money in clear connections between events, painting complete pictures of the historical relationships that shape the present day financial world. To do this, Niall Ferguson copied the Connections format exactly. All the way down to the conclusions that tag each section.

While the series attempts to be impartial, I caught the author implying more than once, that we are without an alternative to this financial system. It also lacks coverage of the Fractional Reserve Lending Privilege that our government grants to the banks. I believe the author is genuinely trying to help, but lacks the imagination required to be impartial to the financial system. You have to be able to imagine all the other magnificent ways we could solve the problems that financial systems "solve" for us in order to see the current financial system for what it is.

While the series fails to show alternatives are possible, it does do a very good job of relating every war ever fought by any nation to the decisions made by powerful banking families. I am no peddler of hate, and do not have a problem with the choices made by those in power, from Medici all the way to Rothschild and Rockefeller etc, I have no issue with the few families that maintain control of the financial systems, I am concerned that the people of the world continually choose to enable and facilitate wealth systems that don't maintain harmony with nature or neighbor.

As the population of docile, compliant citizens of the western nations increased, the scale of violence and cultural separation between rich and poor increased in step. The correlation is so close that a metaphor of a man and woman locked into a passionate argentine tango describes the relationship between the 1% and 99% quite accurately. The people just keep coming back to dance, and the nature of the dance is inescapable: it does take two to tango. The people just kept coming back for more. For centuries.

After grokking The Ascent of Money and comparing notes with the counterculture, I am convinced that we have only three issues driving the global finance problem:

1. The "Securitization" of Entitlements. Be they deeds, patents or copyrights, rolling them up into "Funds", "Record Labels" and "Patent Portfolios" and selling shares literally kills the commons. So we need to make every entitlement non-transferrable (period). Artists own their own music, Inventors own their own inventions and yes, Banks own their own loans. There is no other way for humankind to rediscover it self as the amazing talented builder of this wild and diverse world. Problem

2. The Fractional Reserve Lending System grants banks the right to invent money. That's just too much to "entitle" any node in any network of relationships. It kills the "fit node" relationships discovered by Albert Laszlo Barabassi in 2002. The repeating waveform oscillation of boom/bust is based solely upon the inflation generated by the Fractional reserve system and the idea that the Bank is foreclosing on real property because you cant pay the interest on money they invented is enough to make soccer moms go "tent city" on wall street.

3. Meaningfully Representative Government. Today, the lobby groups are the government. No way to deny it. Every bill in the Senate and House. Not one from the people. All from for-profit corporations that, by design, must maximize returns any way they can. The solution is to expand The Senate by 512 seats and the house by 1024. Allocated by population. With 1536 more people required to "win over" somehow, the Washington lobby is simply a priced out market. It becomes more difficult to go to war and more people and communities would be represented. Easing the feeling that the 99% have no say in what happens on the planet.

I don't like war. Competition outside of a context of cooperation is savage. If you read between the lines of intrigue presented in "The Ascent of Money" you can see the trends underlying and know that The World Bank will be coming to take Iran's billions of dollars worth of gold that they removed from the bank earlier this year. If you know the history of injustice. If you understand that Iran has been brutalized internally and internationally by us, if you can see how wrong it is for us to starve their children in their own countries because of our fear of them, then you will be able to see the trap laid by nature. The true life force, which maintains all competition for survival in a context of cooperation and all consumption in a context of creation. If we go to war with Iran, because The Bank wants their Gold. We will lose.

The planet will be run by people who choose to take on the responsibility of maintaining humankind in the context of cooperation and creativity that is responsible for all of it's accomplishments. This is written in the hunger of humankind. We want to be freely connecting points, creating the patterns we invent in the diversity of potentiality extant here. There is no purpose for any entity with the discretion to restrict this, to do so now. No purpose but fear, and fear has only lead the US into the dark. If we are to derive just power to rule, we cannot commit atrocity for oil or gold. We must courageously choose to view every person on this planet as one with us, including those we perceive as mortal enemies, we must look past the fear and be an agent in support of the greater context of cooperation that sustains all life in the universe.

Gosh, this year is intense. Anyhoo. Enjoy the 4 hours of insightful financial history, amazingly free of conspiracy theory vibrations.

Mon, 12 Dec 2011 06:12:35 -0800 Occupy Oakland: Unity Is Accomplished By Embracing Internal Division http://sidgabriel.com/occupy-oakland-unity-is-accomplished-by-embra http://sidgabriel.com/occupy-oakland-unity-is-accomplished-by-embra The public demonstration of support for open discussion exploring the extent of our federal government's failure to protect US citizen's land from fraudulent financial institutions whom may have abused the fractional reserve lending privilege, and made high risk loans, engaged in predatory lending, automated algorithmic arbitrage of securities trading systems, either knowingly or unknowingly set into motion a series of events that consolidated more than 60% of the US GDP under the roof of five financial institutions and *potentially accidentally* stole the homes and assets of millions of Americans who are now homeless and unable to work, many of whom have formed tent encampments in their city centers, the combined public demonstration of support for repairing the essential functions of land ownership and easily accessible low interest business credit in private industry, and providing relief and restoration of the financial health of the extraordinary heroic citizens whom in a functioning version of the democracy described by our constitution would never be without demand for their services, these issues and brave people who occupy their own page in the historic and never-boring saga Ben Franklin referred to as a "grand experiment", their moment of truth, our collective moment to take hold of the the arc of history and bend it towards liberty, equality and the pursuit of happiness for all; The leaderless human rights group that calls its collective self "Occupy Wall Street", has reached a crossroads.

Like all political, cultural, social, religious or spiritual movements, it cannot occupy a crossroads long. It's members will decide in the next 12 hours if they will be the stewards of a revolutionary new embodiment of nonviolent resistance, amplified by new concepts of radical cross-cultural inclusion, and cooperation at a global scale. Or they will choose to be a part of a new emerging cycle of violence between the citizens and the government. Where each "side" tries to make the old tools of exclusion and attack work to eradicate or dominate the other. Pushing away what they do not like or understand and blindly attacking any weakness they can find on the "other side". Inside Occupy Wall Street, Both violence and nonviolence will assert its self today. I have a personal vow of nonviolence that I have made because violence is totally lame, so lame I would rather be injured or die than resort to it. We just know, from history, that the process of pushing away what you don't like or understand has never worked to create peace. Though Obama promised change, he was a bit less idealistic than I thought he would be. In this day and age, to say there are no safe alternatives to war and to fire missiles into countries that have not attacked us is not change we can believe in. It is the old strategy of striking at the entity that you fear, leaving courage on the shelf, reaching instead to killing people, using our sophisticated wealth of technology we have created not in the service of communication or peace but to kill from thousands of miles away, with accuracy, using unmanned drones to kill US citizens in foreign countries without trial. I was aghast when I consumed the information, but still my heart goes out to him. To our president. He is trying so hard to "do it right" that he has forgotten that we all know exactly what to do. Always, without fail, at every crossroad, without intellectualizing, without relying on data, we can visualize ourselves going down one path, then visualize going down the other, and examine which visualization gave us a lifting feeling in our chest. Which path brought our spirit high just to imagine? Which ever one it is, you must do it, because your heart says your destiny lies down that path. You belong where you are guided by your own light. No one ever needs more than this, to know which path to take. Why is the crossroads today? It is because the Occupy Oakland West Coast Coordinated Port Closure is happening today and from the looks of it, it is a total law enforcement trap. Everything down to the time of the marches looks perfectly set up for a minimum of overtime pay, a maximum of publicity and guess what? Forcing a port to close is not nonviolent protest, it is violent radical activism. A kind of war. You can see the mindset of war in the poster. "Together we are unstoppable" is the blind worship of power. The "solidarity with longshoremen" who have made press release saying they do not support, condone or have any role in the "blockade" which again is a tactic in a strategy modeled in Game Theory for decades called a zero sum game. Everyone who participates in the port closure and does not wear a stylish Guy Fawkes mask, risks going to prison for 3 to 5 years and a slim chance at indefinite detention if you're the Galileo type. The reason I am posting this is that the port closure is such a clear violation of US Code that law enforcement may simply photograph the march, use facial recognition software to identify everyone who has ever used a social network and was in the blockade, and just collect them later. Legally, with warrants in hand and evidence to convict. I write this not to frighten anyone off. I do not want to influence your decisions, I want my friends and loved ones to have all the information so they can make their own decisions. If you are going to participate in the port blockade, you should be aware that you enter territory that is not defended by the bill of rights. There is no part of the constitution that condones treading upon another US citizen or domestic corporation. Picketing and boycotting are legal and nonviolent ways to make your voice heard. Inciting people to block a commercial shipping channel and force negative commercial impact upon other citizens is not a boycott. It is not a picket line. It could be considered an act of domestic terrorism. Because your protest has created victims. Producing evidence of the victims of Goldman Sachs does not justify creating more victimized people who had no choice but to be "blockaded" by the dark side of Occupy. No accounting of the victims of Goldman Sachs will keep you from landing in the cell next door to them, if lives are lost as a result of the action. I want to be very clear that it is my hope that you will make an informed decision and which ever road your heart chooses, know that I have profound respect for the courage it takes to follow your inner guidance, as I know, for myself, that it never makes sense. The interesting feature of the blockade is that even though it looks like the product of infiltration by entities that want Occupy to tarnish it's virtuous appearance, and even though it may end up being the largest west coast roundup of protestors caught actually breaking the law, alternately, if the numbers are high enough, and the light stays on in the hearts of the people who participate, it may actually accomplish something. I have been really disappointed by our Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She has been making statement after statement about Iran and Syria and how the US Media is loosing an information war and basically has been running around like Bush sr. in drag, looking everywhere in the world for problems with Iran and has not addressed Occupy Wall St. The silence from Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama has been the largest betrayal I've experienced as a US citizen in my life, since I was born, 36 years ago in northern California.

How I understand it is that the Secretary of State should rush home from wherever in the world she is if there is a unified coordinated protest in every city and evidence that 5 banks we bailed out have grown 20% larger than before the "crisis" and have "Acquired" 60% of the GDP. The Secretary of State, if she wasn't so occupied by her "other" nations, is the cabinet officer that should be coordinating and preforming the government's logical and effective service. Hillary Clinton's role is to be the person in the administration that says "what? that sounds terrible, thanks for bringing this to my attention, here is what I'm going to do about it, here is where you can keep track of the progress and thank you so much for coming all the way here to let us know you are suffering. I had no idea it was this bad for you, we are here because you elected us and we are in charge of spending the tax dollars on you and this nation and we are up to the challenge of making sure you have life, liberty and a fair chance at a meaningful, purposeful and historically substantive time on earth" So far, for how much of a dud Obama and Clinton are, I'd take Madeline Allbright in a heartbeat. I used to love Hillary, then when Occupy happened she was like "no comment" then did a series of statements on Iran while wearing really lame outfits. What happened to her? Maybe if the ports shut down and she has a whole Fema camp full of brand new first time domestic terrorists, they had to figure out what to do with, she might consider ditching her current gig building a case for invading Iran and might get interested in doing her job, using the resources of the state department for statecraft, meeting every domestic group that is protesting or making grievance about anything and just writing down somewhere that she heard it and involving the people and groups in some kind of process aimed at getting their needs met. I mean, do you have to be a middle eastern country to get some love around here? I have started to use a new word for how they are avoiding the subject: "Barackupied" - A form of political ignorance characterized by the inability to stop thinking about a new political entity whilst simultaneously not being able to acknowledge or speak about it, creating an awkward "super-elephant-in-the-room" in the political media as it covers the new entity every day and the leaders say nothing. Perhaps a big event out here will inspire more domestic focus. In any case, follow your heart. Either way, good luck.

Fri, 25 Nov 2011 15:18:40 -0800 In The 6 Months Since I Closed The Lab, 11|3L3V3N Happened http://sidgabriel.com/in-the-6-months-since-i-closed-the-lab-113l3v http://sidgabriel.com/in-the-6-months-since-i-closed-the-lab-113l3v A research technologist named Sid Gabriel went to Hawaii for a
technical gig and when he returned he noticed that he had transformed.
No longer was he needing to "work the kinks out" of his technology. No
longer was he in need of (or in possession of) a lab in which to work.
He simply had the coolest visual communication and near field reality
augmentation platforms in existence,... as it were,.. in his pocket.
Not only that, but in Hawaii He had experienced visions, induced by
the Alchemeyes Visionary Art event that served as the high point on
his tour. He had left the bay area as a technologist for sure, he
could remember that, but a month later a kind of magnetically
supercharged duo rolled off the plane humming with a new vibration,
they began to interact very significantly with people. As if they were
cultural icons of a vibe yet to call it's own name the public
consciousness; and I'm going to stop talking about myself in the third
person now.

It's true I've been working for a couple years on a platform for
computing and augmenting reality. It'a also true that rather than go
through all the trouble of building a startup to try to sell my
inventions, I've decided simply to "Rock Le Geek" myself for a while
and really enjoy being the only person on the planet with a 3
dimensional simulated user interface and the worlds only near field
reality augmentation system. It's I guess just the luck of the era
that I would find myself with literally no responsibility that I can
reasonably service. So easily able to team up with Chris Sia and form
3L3V3N. A performance art experience that combines music, video,
interactive environments and white tights to gather and express the
zeitgeist of this very interesting year. I've attached some pictures
of what's been happening along the way.

11|3L3V3N will only exist until the last second of this year. At the
end of this year it's "new vibration" phase will be underway and the
world won't need it anymore. It will need what is born the very next
second: "The One One" a vibrational spirituality magnate. Kind of like
a combination of Queen (the band) and the "holy see". Applying
vibrational wisdom and knowledge to life and the mysteries that
surround it. We have a few more weeks before it's showtime for the one
one.

I'll try to hit this blog once or twice before next year to explain
why its ok for me to sound totally crazy in my posts.

I hope you like the attached pictures, you can find music, videos, our
facebook page and more pictures at http://theoneone.com

Take care,

Sid Gabriel

Fri, 14 Oct 2011 20:38:54 -0700 What Is "Occupy x"? What has happened to the dollar? Was that the largest protest in American History? http://sidgabriel.com/what-is-occupy-x-what-has-happened-to-the-dol http://sidgabriel.com/what-is-occupy-x-what-has-happened-to-the-dol

Photo

Yes. It was the largest. "Occupy" is meme that has everyone believing they can make a difference for the better. It's also a lot of homeless Americans and people who have had foreclosures or worked for companies that went bankrupt and lost their pensions or were otherwise harmed by the banking collapse of 2008. Who h the banking industry has recovered from with the help of US government bailouts. The people have not recovered and the divide between rich and poor has now grown so narrow that many of the people believe that they are part of the 99% of Americans who are not wealthy. It was made public earlier this year that 1% of Americans have 99% of the wealth. For example Warren Buffett who just purchased 5BLN worth of Bank of America stock. If that had been a college loan bailout he would have saved a generation. But we don't think like that do we? The currency, banks, and valuation methodologies of the Union are corrupt and the people are literally marching for their lives.

I don't know what will happen now. We have some difficult days ahead of us. I have seen glimpses of what is possible in the ideas that people are bringing to the conversation, it looks very simple, but the road must be plowed by the citizens in the media and the citizens in industry as well as young people. The police will have to do their work and protect us from the special interests that may try to use violence to stop this movement.

We all share the same vision even if we think we are divided by our silly notions of parties and races. I see victories possible, because of how much we all want them.
Victory will come on the day the Private Federal Reserve System, which refused to allow us to govern it, is closed. On that day. I can see a victory ahead, when our family members who enlisted in military service to protect our nation and instead were used to forcibly occupy other nations with whom we have not declared war, have all come home. That day. It will be a victory when the 28th amendment to constitution, granting the Citizens "Freedom of Trust" allowing us to use anything we want to use as money and ensures we are free to store it in any way we want and pass it in trust from generation to generation in any way we want- when that freedom becomes law, making the IRS illegal to operate. On that day. There will be victory when the senate is expanded by 20 senators for each existing senator. Birthing a new senate that has priced out the special interests who can no longer afford to buy the senate, a senate with an adequate number of seats for the incoming generation of extremely motivated prodigies of statecraft and wunderkind system architects born to do the work of building the promised land we've been working towards for generations. That day is going to be the awesome moment that we can declare victory and know that our parents and ancestry have been honored and their victories were not in vein. We will know the freedoms that they earned to for us have been kept and expanded to suit the coming world we dream of for our children. That day would be victory.
Although, we could just keep doing what we have been doing instead, if anyone is jaded enough to prefer that. What everyone should do to ensure they are on the side they think they are on is to realize right now and take seriously that these people are the ones we have been waiting for and they are asking everyone to join them and now is the time to act in the service of an awesome future for humankind. This is so much bigger than anyone yet understands. We know we cannot continue driving the war and poverty machine. These are our youth and they are full of energy and crying out to us to give them the job of writing the next chapter for America.
If we cannot break free of the cycles of war and poverty, we will surely reap what we sew. We can get to 100% if we want it. Very soon we will all have to decide. Decide to be awesome, don't choose to be lame.

Mon, 09 May 2011 00:34:39 -0700 When Did I Become Dr Who? http://sidgabriel.com/when-did-i-become-dr-who http://sidgabriel.com/when-did-i-become-dr-who
Aiinea_20110508120558554_sidge

This evening I was packing the equipment in the lab to move.
Everything hit the ground almost in symphony last week. My car is
being towed to my family in Sacramento until I can get everything
current with it. I have to collapse the lab and move it somewhere by
the end of the day tomorrow. Last week I got sick for the first time
in a year, and so sick I was in the ER. Everything started to look
dark this week, even friends who I've been very friendly with for
years, upon finding out I felt uncertain about the future proceeded to
knee-jerk, not in the direction of compassion, but going so far as to
say the way I live my life is insulting to them. Right now I work more
efficiently and effectively and on the behalf of more people than ever
before. That'll be clear to everyone soon enough, and it shouldn't be
hard to mend fences in time, all that coming down on me all at once
and having no idea really how any of the technology I'm working on
will interface with the world commercially could be nervous-making,
and was. I've had no income to speak of for the year to date and I to
Hawaii on Wednesday, to do what looks like the most not-for-hire work
I could stack into two weeks.

I came to the lab to pack things up, skipping a barbecue w/friends and
family and missing my mom on mothers day, and feeling sick, and was
set to do what looked like the depressing work of packing and not
knowing where I'm going, again. I got more than that experience
though.

I was figuring out what I would need for the next few weeks and
connecting with source, which to me, means embracing the visions that
cause me to feel a lifting sensation in my solar-plexus and vigilantly
reclaiming my focus when my mind strays to thoughts that cause a
sinking feeling. I've learned that focus determines perceived reality
not only in logical form but in the way reality feels, how fast or
slow time moves and what solutions are available in your presence.
Going with the lifting feeling is sometimes the only tool we can reach
in time to make a difference. Feeling good no matter what is
revolutionary.

So I was packing equipment, wires and gadgets, old, new, some never
released, like this Android-ready Zii Egg that sports a very fast, yet
rarely supported stem-cell processor has HD rear cam / vga front cam,
wifi and gps. It's like the android equivalent of an ipod touch. Great
product, except summer 2009 was too early for it. Like two years
early.

I also came across a Shiva Plug, a computer that fits in a plug. It's
in the lab on loan from a friend since last year.

In the hodgepodge I started to think about Doctor Who's Tardis (Time
And Relative Dimension(s) In Space)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARDIS His combination time
machine/spacecraft that looked like a telephone box, but it's bigger
on the inide than on the outside. So his lab literally moves and he
never has to move his lab. Because it exists in time and relative
dimensions and space to his steaz.

I was thinking about how I need one of those Tardis things and that's
when I had the "Eureka!" moment, and realized my life is exactly like
Dr. Who's. I'm always constructing some kind of gadget or software for
someone's immediate need, either myself or someone who I cross paths
with.

I've always got a companion. Someone hot and smart next to me who
invariably, after many adventures in the cosmos, lets me know they
want to go home where they belong and that they love me but know I
belong out in the universe.

It was all really clear. All the way down to my incorruptible faith in
people and life to be awesome and my complete inability to relate
money to action, time or problem solving, while simultaneously looking
so "money".

So, what's the big deal? Why the long post about realizing that my
life is at least a fair approximation of Dr Who's lifestyle? I think I
just got it. I really just got it. I loved Dr Who. Watching it late
night with my dad for 10 years was one of the ways I connected with
the wonder of life and the infinity of options that exist around any
problem, or I should say, perceived problem.

Tonight I showed up to clean up after a defeat, at very least, a
journey's end. My health is important to me, my culture, my family,
all very important to me. I've held out as long as I could, following
source, I was dreading the thought of going down memory lane with all
of my things. Remembering the places I had been. I thought I would
have me to give up hope, I found instead that this past year that I've
spent on the road, thinking everything had to be temporary, everything
was wrong, thinking I needed to hide until I was back on my feet or
that there was something wrong with only having myself, my computer
and nothing else–this whole time I've been trying to recover from
adversity, I am now realizing, this past year I have been more in
touch with life, more whole, more engaged, far more creative and I'm
really happy to realize that I've been the happiest I've ever been in
my life. I've felt purposeful, focused, spiritually alive, troubled by
circumstance and naked to the elements, just inches from the void yet
in constant touch with source.

Tonight I'm going to call my mom and tell her that I have achieved my
childhood dream of growing up to be like Doctor Who, but without all
the robots, aliens and giant insects.

*AND* I'm about to find the perfect place for the next lab right now
and then this Wednesday ship off to the edge of the world to share the
wonders of the ultra-linear-present-moment.

I'm really impressed by the Colorbox Team, Gabriel Mott and most of
all, the backers that pledged to support the ColorBox with their
generous donations that exceeded the set goal. I'm digging extra deep
to make sure I have the most epic continuums of light content with me,
to answer their call. Congratulations Gabriel on lifting the
vibration. I feel so lucky to participate.

If you're feeling left out, it's not too late to throw in additional
donations in to further communicate the show of support for art like
this. For those of you with names you love to put in awesome places,
$500 gets your name laser etched onto the colorbox installation. Info:

Fri, 06 May 2011 18:22:00 -0700 Retinal Grids http://sidgabriel.com/retinal-grids http://sidgabriel.com/retinal-grids

I'm really excited about being on the Colorbox team at the Alchemeyez
Visionary Art Congress coming up in a couple weeks. I've been crafting
new light in the lab for the past 2 months, thinking about how best to
participate. In this video I have a couple of the normal lightnuclei
with the same old particle system I've been meaning to revise for
months, but there is something different. I added one of the entities
I invented for the ColorBox experience. I call it a retinal grid. It
uses a very conventional set of optical illusions to "set" the colors
for you. Making it easy to differentiate between many shades of the
same color. Inside my retinal grid form, the 5,285 particles that each
represent a different shade of the same color, can easily be discerned
from each other. When without the grid it is like a big blob of a
single color.

If you like this work, please donate to The Color Box. Just because we
reached the goal doesn't mean you've lost your chance to pledge your
suport and be recognized as a backer of the color box!

Thu, 05 May 2011 20:49:07 -0700 Random Thoughts on Sustainability, Causes & Activism http://sidgabriel.com/random-thoughts-on-sustainability-causes-acti http://sidgabriel.com/random-thoughts-on-sustainability-causes-acti If we were to ask a genie to transform the human race into a
completely sustainable entity, where our impact was completely in step
with the growth of resources and our lives were longer, healthier and
in complete harmony with the planet, the genie would blink his eyes,
grant our wish and turn us all into trilobites. Something similar to a
horshoe crab. But that isn't what we want right?

We can not escape the truth that when we talk about sustainability, we
are often still talking in terms of dominating the planet and still
talking about making the planet what we want it to be, still resisting
what it is. When, if we want to live in harmony with the planet, that
is something we can just do, right now, in our own lives. As soon as
we start projecting that desire into the behavior of others, we start
building authorities that would have to police eating and crapping. I
don't know anyone who would want such an odd and futile job.

Is it possible for us to live responsibly for future generations
without creating more paper work and just be the change we wish to see
in the world? I know I consume far less fossil fuel than ever before
but I don't think that's the measure to responsibly look at. It may be
that the feelings of confidence I feel, that humankind will generate
the tools to use and invent the systems necessary to navigate the path
ahead are more than just feelings. They are the product of work. Not
simply blocking out what I don't want to hear and taking the things I
am able to see seriously is work. Those feelings of confidence I have
in our abilities inform everything that I do. It seems that the only
measure of success that one can rely upon, when considering if they
are living responsibly, is the extent to which they believe in people.
If you give up on us, your behaviors will likely not be as kind to the
future as they would be if you believed in us.

It isn't hard to imagine, that if you don't give up on people, if you
do the internal work necessary to see the world as it is now, accept
it as it is and can spiritually find the perspectives necessary to
maintain your faith in people, and put your lot in with life, that you
may be in complete harmony with the planet. If you can feel good about
being alive now and know that you are doing what it takes to sustain a
vision of life that you believe is whole, it seems to me that
everything you do would be done in the service of that. If you do the
work of finding peace with what is, you may be the highest form of
life possible. Just a thought.

So, about these causes and messages of revolution going around, that
request that the world behave differently than it does, before going
and joining them, it may be best to make sure you still believe in
people, before rushing to action. You may not be on the side you think
you are. If you've given up on humankind, I suggest you find the faith
before lifting a finger to change the world. If you need help with
that, let me know. I'm happy to share what I see.

Sat, 30 Apr 2011 23:25:00 -0700 Thoughts on Anonymous and Hope for Iran http://sidgabriel.com/thoughts-on-anonymous-and-hope-for-iran http://sidgabriel.com/thoughts-on-anonymous-and-hope-for-iran

I cannot endorse or condemn an entity whose existence cannot be
confirmed. While Anonymous
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_(group) ) could easily be a
single individual inspiring those who feel compelled to answer the
call, some believe it is the CIA and some think they are aliens. It could also be everyone, unconsciously turning a blind eye to the clicks and keystrokes of a legion of anonymous citizens of earth who believe they see a way out of the turmoil of the post-war era's wounded

mentality of nations-before-humans, systems-before-health,
safety-before-freedom and individual compliance-before-individual
existence.  In the United States, our constitution's protection of our
freedom of speech and our right to assemble have kept us safe from the
worst parts of that mentality, while much of the world suffers the
full force of an unchecked fear of people. I've been called a dreamer before. My whole life I have wrestled with a vision, and while I am still told it is impossible, I can see the day is possible, when all human beings accept that we can spill no blood but our own. That there were never any nations, it was only ever people, there is one planet, and there were never any rights granted by god or man to this planet that exclude the rights of any other living person to it.

It is almost impossible for the previous generations to see it, but
its truth stares us in the face every time we see a person we don't
know. There is a familiarity to them, an intuitive knowledge of them,
and there is a way to coexist peacefully, without the need for
violence or domination. Though we are told otherwise, the majority of
people we have met have not attacked us or diminished us by their
presence. I have made a small leap of faith I recommend everyone make:
that this mathematical fact is not a function of where you went to
school, who you were raised by, what color your skin is, what style of
clothing and music you wear or how effective the military of your
nation is. I believe that the safety we have experienced is not the
result of effectively pushing out the "bad people" and supporting the
"good people". I believe that people are here because people are here,
and people will protect people from harm, will feed people's hunger,
will satisfy people's curiosity about life because that is what we
are. All of us. I do not believe there is such a thing as an anonymous
person.

If it can be accepted that we have seen the cost of holocaust, if it
can be recognized that we do not allow acts of genocide or are even
able to destroy any of the minorities that make up the majority of our
diversity then it can also be accepted that we share the work ahead
and share the wonders of life together. There is a shift happening
now, away from the old disconnected notion of nations, currency and
borders. There is a future possible where there are no terrorists
because there is nothing to terrorize. No standing army as there is no
"other" to defend against. This may not happen during my lifetime,
every time I see an opportunity for this shift to take root, it seems
to tailspin into violence, which is effective in the short term but
our history shows 100% failure to sustain pece through the domination
of others. Even the USA cannot make it work without maintaining near
1/3 of it's population in prison, probation or parole or employed in
the support of the domination of others. Any revolution dependent upon
violence is doomed to loose at least 1/3 of the population involved
just as we have. As we have seen in Egypt, we can not do more of the
same and expect a different outcome as vaguely united "winners"
believing everything has changed, assume the work of becoming exactly
what was defeated.

Though I admit that I do not know the way there, it is my hope that
the old technologies designed to push away, attack and dominate what
we do not want or understand will simply cease to function, and the
new technologies of inclusion, unity and awareness, which transcend
the efficacy of violence, will cloud the many visions of the world we
seek to create, and allow us to place our enduring mutual focus upon
the one world we live in and end the cancerous fixation on division
that has claimed our peace for generations.

Sat, 30 Apr 2011 03:23:00 -0700 The Base Layer Babylon http://sidgabriel.com/the-new-base-layer-is-almost-ready-for-alpha http://sidgabriel.com/the-new-base-layer-is-almost-ready-for-alpha

I decided that I should try to integrate some optical illusions into the LightNucleus. To see if I could offload some of the work from the GPU to the Reticular Activation System of a user. The simple things like spin and depth seemed like they should be able to be created without doing much calculation. After a dizzying 5 days working on them and after a compete revision of the graphics architecture in the LightNucleus, I think iI can safely call it a first rev and move on to some less visually intense programming. This is the biggest cosmetic revision since the SaltWater UI in December. The Lightnucleus now has a few original grids, filters and pixel blending functions. The new layer of UI/ functionality is called "Base Layer Babylon" for its representation of multiple visual languages. It's a good start at including the non-digital reality augmentation that has been at work for centuries in art. Real, old, living art. The base layer has grids inspired by THOTH, Graph Mutations evolved from Echer's transformation grids, special spatial relationships from DaVinci's codecies, horizon and line termination lattices inspired by Alex Grey and Salvador Dali, low computational overhead/high impact dynamic zoom and scan functions inspired by Saul Bass. What started out as a little experiment using a warped toroid grid as a background filter became an integration point for a diversity of modalities for representation of space and form in visual art. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. Email with questions. Release date unknown, but I'm happy to present it and answer questions around its utility and set up demos for people to try.

Fri, 29 Apr 2011 14:08:00 -0700 Am I Mad? I Mean, For Reals. http://sidgabriel.com/am-i-mad-i-mean-for-reals http://sidgabriel.com/am-i-mad-i-mean-for-reals

I was just leaving lab and I noticed that there is a shopping cart outside the big rollup door. A shopping cart full of telephone handsets. Old ones. Big, clunky, between-your-ear-and-shoulder-"age of the big bell" phones.

So a crazy person filled a cart with phones and placed it outside my lab door.  No problem right? Just ignore them (Sid). I've got too much junk already. And taking anything from this cart would place me finally once and for all in the column marked tin-foil-hat.

However, there is another element to this cart experience that gives me pause. I had recently decided to go ahead and try to build a searle effect generator. I had been wondering where am I going to get the 36 identical electromagnets that I'll need. Since I don't know if the science is sound, it was a bit of a stretch to consider purchasing. I didnt think a shopping cart full of identical magnets (used in the speakers and microphones) and all the copper wire I need would just show up at the door right out of the era of Dr Searles discoveries.

So, I have a few hangups to get over before I can be fully accepting of the shopping cart full of magnets and wire showed up at the lab. Perhaps you can help me decide.

Should I take the cart and build a free energy machine?

Should I worry about whatever  consciousness did this coming back and asking " pardon me, have you seen a shopping cart full of telephone recievers? I seem to have misplaced one".

Or, should I just go get some rest and enjoy that I'm not so far off the map that a shopping cart full of telephone receivers wouldn't strike me as odd?

Replanted

Cross-woven in these golden sequences is a single fact, with mean and
means to prove its self beyond doubt embedded within. It reads upon a
panel of truth, if you believe the face is a marker. Without that
faith, you wouldn't know where your ten fingers may fall upon the
proof of a familiar ten more.

The Alien Sex piece has gotten more views in the first day than any
other video. It was right to leave it off Youtube and host it more
privately but the experience has me feeling a bit open and vulnerable.
To which my answer is to be more exposed. Tired of the whole "push
away what you don't understand" vibe. It's time to embrace the alien.

I should wait at least a couple days before remixing, but the first
